The Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling Teens by Debra Bell is my new favorite how-to homeschool book! I can't put it down! I'm reading and re-reading and taking it all in! I purchased it at the Apologia Retreat in March of 2012 and have picked it up to read it numerous times since then. I haven't read it cover to cover every time. It's one of those books that you can browse through the table of contents and pick what you want to read about at that moment, and as you're reading it, God is showing you exactly what you need to be shown! Debra Bell's experience provides a treasure-trove of godly wisdom, guidance and truly beneficial information.
Here is a sampling of topics listed in the Table of Contents:
The Advantages of Doing High School at Home
Parenting Teens (a.k.a. Riding the Mechanical Bull)
Discovering Your Teens Gifts
How Teens Learn
What Your Middle School Student Needs to Know
The Four-Year Plan
High School English
High School Math
High School Science
High School Social Studies
Earning Credits During High School
Transcripts, Records and Diplomas
Portfolios
What Admissions Offices Are Looking For

And MORE!!
Many homeschooling through high school books seem to be out of date and provide information that is no longer useful or reliable. The Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling Teens was published in 2009 and still relevant for today. Debra Bell is currently active in the homeschool community, and she apparently isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Check out this page from her website, Debra Bell. I think you'll be impressed!
